This class is for children born between 5/1/25 - 12/31/25 (Dates are "soft" dates. You can still register even if your baby is outside of this range. Babies under 6 weeks must have a waiver. This monthly class will provide a community for parents whose kids are entering the next big step in their college career: Sophomore Year. Having navigated the highs and lows of freshman year, our children are facing new choices, new responsibilities and new problems to solve. Each month we will meet to share lunch and discuss topics such as navigating a possible sophomore slump, managing new academic pressures, making adjustments to original plans, roommates, friendships, dating, sex and mental health just to name a few. This workshop, led by Salon Walsh, provides a working plan for how to successfully launch a first year college student, providing details of how and where to begin. Topics include: "Senior Summer", dorm life, move-in day, important conversations to have before leaving, letting go, and more. Get a jump on what to do ahead to prepare for this important family and life transition! Meets in DFLC Room 308 (Demerest Family Life Center).
