PARENT-CHILD CLASS POLICIES

Baby Policies

Parents will be asked to sign a waiver if they bring a baby to class under 6 weeks of age.  Babies 6 weeks to 3 months are welcome to attend in a sibling’s class as long as the parent is wearing the baby during the entire class.  Strollers and car seats are NOT allowed in the rooms because of potential safety hazards.

Hot Beverages

To ensure safety, NO coffee or hot beverages (even with lids) are allowed in classrooms or play yards where children are present.

Diaper Changing

For hygiene reasons (i.e. to prevent fecal contamination & spreading pathogens like rotavirus), diapers need to be changed on the restrooms’ changing tables ONLY and not on the floor, play yard, or classroom counters.

Purses/Bags

All purses & diaper bags must be stored up high from the child’s reach, since they may contain dangerous items like medication, mace, coins, sharp objects, etc.  Your instructor will inform you of a designated storage area.

Allergies

In consideration of those with allergies, the Children’s Pavilion does not allow NUTS-We are a NUT FREE zone.  Please do not bring these items as snacks (for adults & children) to any rooms located adjacent to the outdoor playground.

Health

In fairness to others, attend class only when both you and your child are healthy & noncontagious.  Consistent with school policies, participants should be fever free for 24 hours without medication before attending class.  Teachers may ask any participant & child to leave due to illness.  Proof of child’s immunization must be uploaded to complete registration.  Anyone without immunization records will not be admitted to class.  Exceptions MAY be granted for those with very rare medical conditions where immunizations are not an option.  Please contact us prior to registration for waiver consideration.  Parent Ed reserves the right to modify its policy regarding proof of vaccinations for all participants.
