LCPC Parent Education’s Erskine Memorial has launched a $500 MATCH CHALLENGE encouraging others to help our friends and neighbors in Altadena throughout October.
100% of the money donated to the Greenline Eaton Fire Relief Fund
will provide financial assistance to the most disproportionately impacted communities of Altadena to rebuild homes and restore neighborhoods so people can remain in this culturally rich and generationally impactful community.
If you would like to participate, go to greenlinehousing.org/give, select WILDFIRE RELEIF FUND and dedicate your gift to the LCPC PARENT EDUCATION CHALLENGE.
While natural disasters do not intend to discriminate on the basis of race or class, our country’s history of systemic racism in housing, like the practice of redlining, means the segregated communities of today are often hit harder by natural disasters such as the Eaton Fire.
Greenline offers targeted support to homeowners who lost their homes with a focus on disproportionately impacted communities that face the greatest barriers to rebuilding, such as the Black and Hispanic population, so that recovery can be more equitable for all.
Together, We Can Help
The reality is the scale and magnitude of Rebuilding, Restoring, and Remaining in Altadena will require funding from institutions and individuals alike.
Greenline Housing Foundation is a nonprofit organization powered by the conviction that fair access to homeownership is the foundation to building a lasting legacy.
